Here are some things I've been doing for the last few days.

I go on a website called Gaia Online. On it, there are little characters called avatars that you can dress up. I was browsing the forums on Gaia when I found the avatar of The Shadow Exploded. She had a request to everyone to draw pictures of her avatar, so that's what I did.
I only sent The Shadow Exploded her picture today. We'll see how she likes it! :D
In case you're curious... my avatar's name is Outrageous Potato!

I was talking to Dad about how I wish the writing assignments at school were more substantial. The kind of writing I'm doing in English is more book reports instead of essays -- understandable, and important to learn, but not something I enjoy quite so much. So, he challenged me to write two paragraphs on anything to do with "shade under a tree". Here's what I came up with:
They say that the grass is always greener on the other side of the hill. For me, it is the other side of the yard where the grass is green. While the hot sun beats down harshly on me, the grass on the other side of the yard is bathing in glorious warmth, protected in the dappled shade provided by the trees overhead. Their fresh, green color puts my dry yellow to shame. The green grass stays soft and youthful while I get pounded on by pinecones and invaded by dandelions. Jealousy, in my case, is an underestimation.
People sometimes look at themselves, dissatisfied. "Why haven't I yet grown into my nose?" they might wonder, or perhaps they think, "I ought to clip my nails." I often feel dissatisfied, but my musics are different than a human's. "When will I grow out of my babyish, green color?" or, "I wish it weren't so chilly under this tree," are my thoughts instead. Life as grass under a tree is like being trapped in eternal (and boring) youth. While I sit apathetically, the more aged grass across the lawn is being visited by the friendly dandelions. Why was i dealt the card of such an uneventful life?

Tomorrow is my good friend Metal's birthday. He'll be 17. We celebrated today because I may or may not be online tomorrow.
Metal plays on Gaia, too, and so for his birthday I gave him 6 presents. Five were simple items for his avatar. The sixth was a poem, explaining the presents to him. Here's the poem:
Daffodils for chivalry,
Because you're never mean.
Head fins for goofiness,
also because they're green.
Tie of Spades so all you have
is good luck in your life,
Happy face to remind you
to live with little strife.
Finally, last but not least,
One more little thing,
So to show you that I care,
A shiny promise ring.
Your friendship means a lot to me,
Therefore, this little token,
If we were to grow apart,
My soul would surely be broken.
You're seventeen, let's raise the glass,
Sound the horn and cheer,
Your hopes and dreams are surely close,
So have a splendid year!
He was happy, and I was happy that he was happy.
